Terms of Service

Last updated 22 August 2026

These terms apply to your use of Zenzei. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

What Zenzei is

Zenzei is an educational platform. You write code in your browser, we run it on our infrastructure, and we show you the results. During early access it is provided free of charge and is under active development.

Your account

  • You need an account to run code. One account per person.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity that happens under your account.
  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
  • You can stop using Zenzei at any time and ask us to delete your account.

Code you submit

You keep ownership of the code you write. By submitting it you give us permission to store it and to execute it on our infrastructure for the purpose of returning results to you.

You agree not to submit code that:

  • attempts to escape the execution sandbox, access other users' data, or reach systems it was not given access to;
  • is designed to consume excessive resources, disrupt the service, or deny it to others;
  • infringes someone else's rights, or that you do not have the right to submit;
  • is unlawful, or is intended to cause harm.

We run submitted code in a constrained environment with limits on time, memory, and network access. We may queue, throttle, or refuse runs to keep the platform available for everyone.

Our content

Lessons, demos, written explanations, and the platform itself remain ours. You may use them to learn, including at work. You may not republish or resell them as your own.

Availability, and what early access means

Zenzei is provided “as is”. It is early software: features change, runs can fail or queue, and the simulator is still maturing. Results may be wrong. Do not rely on Zenzei as the sole verification of a design that matters — and please report bad results using the feedback button, which is exactly what it is for.

We do not guarantee uptime, and we may change or discontinue parts of the service. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the platform.

Ending access

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, particularly where the execution sandbox is being abused, since that affects everyone else using the platform.

Pricing

Everything is free during early access. If paid tiers are introduced, individual and community use remains free — we decided that early so there is no bait-and-switch. You will not be charged without agreeing first.

Changes

We may update these terms as the platform develops. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.

Zenzei is in early access and these terms are a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. They will be reviewed and expanded before the platform is offered commercially.
